NETGEAR Nighthawk DOCSIS 3.1 Mid/high-Split Cable Modem (CM3000)

I wanted a modem that would just hold a steady connection, and that is what this one has done for me. It is the kind of product I would point to for someone who is tired of restarting gear, waiting on a signal light, or spending half a Saturday getting a new setup to behave. If you want something that does its job without making a big production out of it, this is a good fit.
The main reason I recommend it is simple: it works really well with my Cox 2Ghz system. Once it was in place, the connection felt steady and I did not have that nagging sense that the internet might drop the second I started doing something important. This one stays in the background, which is exactly what I wanted.
Setup was easy enough that I did not have to turn it into a project. I like when a piece of network gear does not ask for a long afternoon of guessing, rebooting, and looking up steps on my phone. This modem was much closer to plug it in, get it running, and move on with the day. For somebody who wants minimal setup time, that is a big part of the appeal. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants their home internet to come up cleanly and stay that way.
The one thing I would call out is the price. It is not an impulse buy, and I think that will give some people pause. If your current modem is working fine and you do not need the extra headroom or the cleaner setup experience, you may not feel the need to spend this much.
